The University Date document includes the Edit University Date tab. The system automatically enters data into both the Old and New sections. Selected data fields are available for editing.

Edit University Date tab definition

Title	Description
University Date	The calendar date for a financial period.
Fiscal Year	Required. The fiscal year associated with this university date. Existing fiscal years may be retrieved from the lookup .
University Fiscal Accounting Period	Required. The fiscal period associated with this university date. Existing accounting periods may be retrieved from the lookup .

University Date Table and 'Scrubber': The University Date Table is used by the 'Scrubber' to determine the posting accounting period of an document when the accounting period is not specified. The University Date Table is normally populated by the Genesis process at the beginning of the fiscal year.
