IACUC Protocol Affiliation Type

 

 

The IACUC Affiliation Type maintenance document is used to establish and maintain numeric codes and textual description values that are stored in database tables to represent searchable information that is referenced, displayed and/or made available for lookup or selection in various areas of the system, including other e-docs.

The values in the IACUC Protocol Affiliation Type maintenance table become available for selection within the “Affiliation Type” dropdown within the IACUC protocol’s Personnel/Person Details section. They provide further information about the IACUC protocol personnel’s affiliation.

Existing Value Modification:  Existing values may be edited as long as the description is synonymous with the original term.  New values can be added.  You should not delete existing values.

Edit IACUC Affiliation Type Section

The Edit IACUC Affiliation Type section of the IACUC Affiliation Type maintenance document is a unique section that allows you to specify and maintain the details associated with the reference table record in fields.

Description

Affiliation Type

Required.  Enter a numeric value that represents and uniquely identifies the type of affiliation in the system.  Click within the text box to relocate the cursor to the field, and then type (or paste from virtual clipboard) to enter the desired value in the box as necessary.

Description

Required.  Enter a textual name for the affiliation type as it is commonly referred to.  Click within the text box (or press the tab  key from a previous field) to relocate the cursor to the field, and then type (or paste from virtual clipboard) to enter text in the box as necessary to provide the appropriate information.  Click the add note  icon to view/edit/paste text in a new browser window, then click the continue button to return to the text entry field in the document.

Active

Required. Check this flag to indicate the affiliation is active. Uncheck to indicate the affiliation is inactive. Inactive affiliations do not appear within the “Affiliation Type” dropdown within the personnel section.
