This process applies the pending ledger entries, including any Financials-generated entries, to the GL. The posting function ('Poster') is a batch process distinct from 'Scrubber' function processes whose main function is to validate transactions. 'Poster' is actually made up of several processes that post and generate transactions. The posting process occurs in the following distinct phases (or modes) with several steps within each phase.
• GL Account Balance Posting ('Main Poster')
• Reversal Poster
• Indirect Cost Recovery (ICR) Transaction Generation
• Indirect Cost Recovery (ICR) Encumbrance Generation
The GL Posting process is represented in the following diagram.
