On this screen – Modular Budget:

A.  Modular: Left Navigation button click to open the Modular Budget screen.

B.  Period Tabs: Click on a budget period to view that period.

C.   Total Expense Summary: displays the period total cost and project total cost.

D.  Action Buttons:

Summary Overview: Click to view the all-period summary view.

+Add Rate button: Click to manually add and maintain a period row to the table. You must use the add tool if you have not created a detailed budget to sync the data to these screens.

Recalculate: Click to refresh the rows with calculations in the manually entered rows or to refresh with changes made to the synced detailed budget.

Sync: Click to populate the Modular Budget Periods tabs with your detailed budget and rates.

E.   F&A section: Populates with proposal rate lines upon sync, otherwise, use the Add Rate button to generate rows to support the Modular Budget Form.

Actions: Once added, the fields are editable and the row can be deleted.

F.   Direct Cost section: The fields will populate with the detailed budget expenses upon sync, otherwise manually enter the values to support the Modular Budget form.

Actions: The fields are editable: the user may override the values populated via sync, if needed.

G.  : Actions: Duplicate Recalculate and Sync buttons (These may be removed in a later release).

H.  Proposal Footer actions:

Back: click to navigate to the previous screen on the left navigation bar

Save: click to save the proposal data and stay on this screen

Save and Continue: click to navigate to the next screen listed below on the left navigation bar

Complete Budget: click to mark the budget status as complete in the Budget Settings.

 

Tip: Create a detailed budget and use the Sync feature to populate the Modular Budget screens. The system will round your budget up to the next $25K module of Direct Costs and generate the appropriate F&A rate rows for all periods. All the items can be edited to override the sync, if needed.
