public class XmlObjectSerializerServiceImpl.ProxyConverter extends com.thoughtworks.xstream.converters.reflection.ReflectionConverter
This custom converter only handles proxies for BusinessObjects. List-type proxies are handled by configuring XStream to treat ListProxyDefaultImpl as ArrayLists (see constructor for this service).
