The Funding Proposals section is used to link any Intuitional Proposal(s) that provide funding for this award, along with some key details from the selected IP record. You may create an Award with or without selecting a funding proposal, but if you do select a funding proposal when you create an award, KC automatically populates some data from the selected Institutional Proposal in the designated award fields to help expedite the award set-up. KC populates (fills in) the new Award fields from the first funding proposal you link to the award. You may edit Award fields after KC populates them. When adding subsequent funding proposals to an existing award, the administrator is presented with the options on whether or not to replace, append, or ignore the personnel & credit split information in the funding proposal.
Institutional Proposal details that KC populate the Award:
Award Tab:
• Lead Unit
• Activity Type
• Award Title
• Sponsor ID
Contacts Tab:
• All Proposal Personnel
• PI Lead Unit
• Combined Credit Split (if enabled)
• Central Administration Contacts (based on lead unit of PI)
