Custom Attribute Document

 

A custom attribute is a data element needed by an institution that is not available out of the box from the application.  A Custom Attribute Document allows you to set up a document that is used for the maintenance of custom attributes that can be used elsewhere within the KC system.

Edit Custom Attribute Document Section

The Edit Custom Attribute Document section of the Custom Attribute Document maintenance document is a unique section that allows you to specify and maintain the details associated with the reference table record in fields.  It allows you to assign a number that is to be used for unique identification of a custom attribute, and further, to associate it with an existing document type code.  Optional characteristics can be set by using the optional fields provided.

Field

Description

Custom Attribute ID

Required.  Enter or select from the lookup or direct inquiry an existing custom attribute identification number to associate with this document.  Type the suspected value in the box and click the direct inquiry icon or click the lookupsearchicon icon to search for and return the value to populate the box automatically.

Document Type Code

Required.  Enter or select (using the lookup or direct inquiry icon tools) to specify which document type code is to be used for this custom attribute document.  Type the suspected value in the box and click the direct inquiry icon or click the lookupsearchicon icon to search for and return the value to populate the box automatically.

Required

Select the checkbox to make this custom attribute document required, or clear to make it optional.  Click within the checkbox to select the item.  A check mark appears within the checkbox to indicate the item is selected.  Click within the checkbox again to clear the mark and deselect the item.

Type Name

Enter text that identifies this unique custom attribute document type.

Active

Select to activate this document, or clear to make it not active.  Click within the checkbox to select the item.  A check mark appears within the checkbox to indicate the item is selected.  Click within the checkbox again to clear the mark and deselect the item.
